The joy of Girl Friends!

So this last weekend was a blast, last weekend I was grounded but this weekend made up for it by far!! So Thais was being a man hater this weekend do to a miss understanding with a friend haha. Megan's parents went out of town for the weekend, so she invited the girls over for a girls night!

Katie was grounded this weekend so she couldn't come but we called her to make her happy :) we ordered pizza, I did Thais's make-up and hair, took pictures and then we watched a movie

Megan tried to rewind the movie and I jumped on top of the pool table to get to her and jumped her to stop her haha lets just say that ended badly for the both of us haha we just laughed.. We went to bed around 2am ad then got up at 9 am (don't ask me why haha) Well Thais had to go home so we dropped her off while I went to get ready to take my pre-prom pictures!!! Krista is amazing, she is 17 and already does bridal, wedding, and portrait pictures!! (if you need a photographer let me know!) Well Thais ended up coming over because Her "American mom" left and so she came with us :) So I finished getting ready did Thais make up again, then megan found my old polaroid camera and found out it worked so they took some pictures :) haha so funny well after that we pilled into Megans "Green Bean" and I drove back to her house to check on the puppies which are soooo cute!!!!

After that we left for Houston!!! Whohooo haha yeah me driving to Houston lol it was interesting but we lived!! We got to the park and there was no parking!! so finally I found one and there is no where to change so being the amaing girls we are i changed in the car haha Thais held my dress while i slide underneath it so when i stepped out of the car the dress would be on! Then Thais tied me all up to where I couldnt breath!! haha so she loosened it for me!! As we were walking to the park everyone would just stop and stair and people running would stop to tell me how pretty my dress is!! I am so excited for prom! well Thais was so funny she is awesome to take to get pictures done she fixeed my hair, and jacket for me, and just made sure i looked good ;) love that girl.. Well after spend 6 houurs taking pictures we left and went to chik-fil-la got some food, took Krista home and then went back to Megans to get ready for the Stake Dance and check on the puppies :) We got to the dance and we mostly hung out with Jacob, Trey,and Geoff. We are just getting to old for those dances lol, so we went to Sonic and everyone just hung out and talked then we dropped Thais off at home and I stopped by my house to get clothes then we headed back to Megans and then talked to Taylor for a little bit and looked and engagment rings on the Tiffany Co. online :) haha found my future ring lol, then we went to bed around 2 am again!! then Taylor woke up to take me home at 8 am so i could get ready for church but i went back to sleep and woke up 30 min before we had to leave haha then went to a fire side after church and came home and went to sleep :) So it was a great weekend with the girls :)

A farewell and a great Sunday afternoon with the girls!!

So today was a blast with my best friends Thais, Megan, and Katie and plus Caitlin my roomie for college!! Well I went to my ward church for sacrament then headed off with the girls to Justins farewell speech.


We got a little turned around and got there a little late but thank goodness we made it for Justin's speech, thank goodness for Sacrament :) well after Sacrament we went up to Justin told him hi and his mom took some pictures of all of us and we all got to chat! It was great. The girls then left and followed Caitlin to her house where we had lunch and just talked like school girls haha. We had a sandwich then ice cream Idk if that is a good mix but it was delicious!!! Well after all that laughing and me being a dork we left to Justin's house where we stayed and hung out for a while pretty much watching the boys wrestle and Sammy the cutie he is Dancing with the girls!! haha then off the girls went home and the bye bye to Justin due to we don't know when we will see him again! how awesome it is to see my friends leave to serve the lord!! I think I have the greatest friends ever and how they make a difference in my life each and everyday!!

Just Friends, and back to Best Friends

Sometimes in life it is hard to tell the guy you are in love with that it is time to be friends and to let each other grow individually and hope for the best in the future. As I have been thinking, praying, reading my scriptures, and then pondering I have decided just that. As this thought came into my head the answers became clear on what I should do. I read in one of the New Eras what the prophet thinks of girls involved with missionaries as they are on their mission. It is hard not only on the guy but more on the girl as she takes steps in her life during those two years. He advises that girls should not date a guy while he is on his mission. How hard it is for me to hear that but also in another way a relief to know that the prophet understands. He says that dating a missionary can hold a missionary back from putting his whole heart into the mission, also it can cause worrying while that girl is at college and so forth. As he said its great to be a pin pal and encourage him while he is on his mission but that a girl should go do the things which she wants not worrying whether she is doing something wrong and so forth. Derek and I agreed to stay in a relationship as he is on his mission but I could date other people. Well this is how I see it going on dates with other guys would feel weird for me because I am technically still in a relationship. It is causing stress and drama in my life which I don't like.. Derek will be my best friend always He is amazing but after putting a lot of thought and prayer I have got my answer. If Derek and I are meant to be it will happen no matter what. I am not just going to give him the cold shoulder, He is my best friend!! and always has been. I will still be there for him and of course still write him, but I think this will help him to grow even more on his mission and also not worry about me going to college. I love his family and really hope they don't hate me after this but I know this is the right thing to do! I am grateful for the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father who guides me to do what is right. I know Derek will understand and know I am doing this for some stupid reason, he knows me better then I do. I just hope he is more understanding then mad :( well I guess we will see. I wish the best and love the Allen's with all my heart hopefully they don't think differently of me, I just want Derek and I to get the most out of the experiences we are about to embark on separately.

Back to square one....

So today was a little scary and sad! As I woke up for seminary I went to the bathroom and started to feel Nashua's, which I usually do in the morning from my medicine if it is still in my system for a while. Well As I went to sit down and do my hair it got worst, I went to throw up but nothing came and I glanced up and started seeing 4 of my eyes and the room began to spin! I blacked out and woke up on the floor were I hit my head on the hing of my door. I got up very slowly confused at what just happened, and began to feel more dizzy, so I got to my bed and laid down where I called my dad and he immediately came up stairs. He told me he heard a thump but thought I dropped something. He felt my head which I had a cold sweat, my stomach felt like there was knots in it and I soon fell back asleep. My dad called me and told me I had a doctors appointment at 11:50 am, I was to scared to even get up so I waited till he got home then slowly got up and got dressed. I went to the doctors who were very shocked to see me again. They thought I would be all better, so as I told them the story they talked with each other and they said when you feel nauseated and you go to throw up you some what hold your breath which prevents some circulation to the brain which can cause you to become dizzy and black out. They think that is what happened however they took 4 samples of blood, so I can be tested for mono, diabetes, hypoglycemia, and something else. I hope they figure it out! I am so tired of being sick and bed ridden I can hardly get anything done and I hope going back to school doesn't stress me out! thanks to amazing friends checking up on me today I love you Katie and Thais!

Shanel is a live/ Katies 17th birthday

So after being on 4 different medication for the last week I am a live haha, now I am down to two medication which is very nice due to I don't sleep all the time now. So my best friends in the world made me feel better and Thais and I also got to surprise katie with her sweet 17 birthday.

So Friday Thais and I prepared to for Katies surprise. We got the supplies and then ran home to decorate and get ready, everyone began to show up and Katies family pitched in to help get katie to my house by 8:30 from babysitting. She seriously had no idea since we told her we were going out on sat, that friday was just a girls movie night. So we had lots of cake and junk food, then went and watched Blind Side. We all had fun messing around and trying to watch the movie haha. One of katies good friends couldn't make it that night and so we made a plan. well that night thais and katie spent the night which was a blast. we woke up watched conference. Thais and Katie left to change and see Megans new puppies. Then came back for me and we were off to have lunch with Justin since he didn't make it to the party. We went and ate at this chicken place then back to Justins house where we watched General Conference. Wow how the talks of Holland touch me so much, he is so wise and has a deep love for all of us. All the talks have so much meaning to our lives and to help us become stronger.
A couple of thoughts came to my head during the time of these talks especially the one on preisthood. Young men who choose to not serve a full time mission have nothing to offer me. If I have saved my self for this man in my life he must be able to scarifce or even more willing to go on a mission it shows commitment to the lord who has asked every worth young man to serve. As a young women I need to keep my self worth and virtue to be worthy of a young man that loves the lord so much, and is willing to give anything for him. Now that I am getting closer and closer to college its crazy how your mind changes and murtures.

Anyways after General conference was over I had a great time hanging out with girls and Justins brothers they are so much fun especially Sam who danced with us and had compition against us doing work outs (which I am feeling right now haha). After Justin and his brothers left we helped his mom with cookies and redecorating a little bit haha it was fun.

We left after that where we went to the Woodlands and went to the Water Way and got Berrypop (frozen yogurt) we walked around even though there was crazy people going to an anima convention. I felt as if we were being protected Thais Katie and I never let go of each other linking arms and feeling as if there were angels around us guarding us. We went and saw Last Song which made me cry uncontroably due to my dad situation. Thank goodness for great friends who are understanding and great. The boys drove us to our car and then we headed to my house where we thought we were going to sleep nope.. Katie called Justin and we stayed up talking to him for a while. haha It was truly a great weekend with friends. Oh and what a great weekend to have General Confernce on Easter weekend :)

So more being sick but fun and great friends!

So Monday I was supposed to go to school but I didn't feel to good still. So we went back to the doctor on Tuesday early that morning because I woke up with a sore throat and having trouble breathing. Well the rushed me right into the office I seriously was walking to sit down and they called me back. The checked my oxygen which was 99% which is good. I was seriously in the doctors office for 2 hours. The swabbed my throat (which if anyone knows I have really bad gag reflex's), asked me question after question, asked my mom to leave the room, asked more questions, doctors left came in and out, talked with each other. And finally I got my answer!.... So lets start from the head down, I have a minor ear infections, allergies (which is causing my throat and chest to hurt, my ministerial cycle is off balance (hence why I have been on my period for a month,and why I am having horrible cramps, I have a bladder infection, and last but not least I have anxiety! haha Na really... When they asked me how my daily week goes and the past three months have been, they said I do more then an mom with 3 kids does, that I need to take this week to distress and let my body (and the medication)heel it self. I guess between youth conference, church, school, prom, Seminary, and Institute planning I have driven my self to bed rest! I am on 4 different medications that make me sleep all the time! I never thought I would say that I hate sleeping.. haha

Well Last night the Laurels came over and had a movie night with me for young women's :) I love those girls. Sadly Megan wasn't there because she was shipping her brother Chad off to the MTC, she is actually excited for him to leave, haha. we watched a movie called I think "Be Strong" it's based off a Rugby coach that changed the life of a young kid from Arizona. It was really touching and all the girls decided we are marrying a Return Missionary that plays Rugby "because only really men play Rugby" hahah that's from the movie! well this weekend should be a lot of fun. a super surprise for our dear laurel Katie! Its her big 17Th birthday :)
