Some great Pinterest Tries, And not so Good Tries!

I have a lot of pins on my Pinterest Boards, but I never try them. So I am trying some of them out as I have time or see a need for them. So I have three Pinterest tries! This one is great! My first try was this 7 Detox Smoothies. They are really healthy and really work, which is great. I remember growing up and seeing Detox drinks, and remembering how bad they were for you. However these are great ways for alternatives, such as Energy Drinks, Skin Care, and even Tummy Flattening! Here is the website! http://girlgetstrong.com/2011/10/10/7-detox-smoothies-with-added-health-detox-benefits/ I have only tried two smoothies so far, my husband and I are moving back to Idaho to finish up school so life is a little crazy right now. However I have tried the Tummy Flattening and it really works! I have done it for a week, now realize this doesn't necessarily make you lose weight, it simply helps with that uncomfortable bloating, especially during those horrible ministerial cycles. This is a very refreshing smoothie, and you will feel great after you drink it. I have also tried the Energy Boost smoothie! It really doesn't sound that great when you read the ingredients, however its really not that bad and remember the serving sizes of these smoothies are for one person, so you are not going to have to drinks a lot!I also used normal peanut butter, so don't feel that you have to go out and by new peanut butter. Also you are drinking something that is healthy and is not a energy drink, which are addicting and make it hard to stop drinking them. Oh another recommendation is use ice in your smoothies, it makes it so much better, or freeze your fruit! My second try is Egg Yoke treatment for your hair. I have seen these a lot on Pinterest and I have noticed my hair feeling a little dry so I tried it.. So this wasn't a great way to fix my hair problems.. It smells really bad, and my bathroom smelled like egg for a couple of days. I also noticed my hair smelt like egg, even after I washed it.. So I do not recommend this Pin. However I do have a solution I tried, It has to do with Virgin Cocoanut Oil! This is amazing and has so many purposes! Also I simply put it in as I am finishing up cleaning around the house, or before my favorite show and then 30min later I take a shower! My hair is so much better and feels healthy! So go to this site, all the recommendations are there! http://www.howdoesshe.com/coconut-oil-moisture-treatment If you follow me on Pinterest these pins are located in my DIY Beauty Products and Health board!I will try to update you all on more but these next couple weeks will be crazy!

Here are some Pinterest try's!

So I tried this recipe which was great, and very easy to make. 4-6 raw chicken breasts, new potatoes, green beans (fresh or canned-really any green veggie would work. Broccoli is good, too). Arrange in 9x13 dish. Sprinkle with a packet of Italian dressing mix and then top with a melted stick of butter. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Here are some of my recommendations: 1st. I used just regular potatoes, I recommend sticking to red, they will cook a lot better. 2nd I used just Italian salad dressing, which makes this recipe a lot easier and faster. but I added the butter to it in a cup and a about 1/3 cup of water. I even add a little more Italian seasoning. I mixed it and then drizzled it all over the food in the pan.. 3rd I had frozen chicken in there so it had more water in it, so don't feel you need to add more water, if you put frozen chicken in there. 4th I let it marinate over night and while we were at church, and when I got home I just turned the over on and then placed it in the oven for an hour. 5th a great idea it if you just want to do it in a crackpot. The chicken came out so good, and tender, we also added rice to it.. Those are some recommendations and ideas for an easy dinner My second try was curling my hair from this blog (Its pined on my Hair Doo's) http://pinterest.com/ldsmowse1/hair-doo-s/ I really love it and it was easy! http://www.thepinkpeonies.com/2012/07/a-little-tutorial-on-how-i-curl-my-hair.html

An Adventure to Indiana!

Yesterday Deborah and I made a 2 hour drive to Indiana. Deborah wanted me to meet the Watson side of the family, that included Stephanie's Sisters. I am not a fan of road trips but this trip was easy and a lot of fun. Deborah and I joked at how she was surprised Robbie would let me come with her haha. He always tells his mom that I am his and that she can not take me away from him. (Its a big joke with us three, so don't think he is controlling). It was a beautiful drive down to Indiana, and we just jammed out to music. When we got there I got to see the house that Deborah grew up in and she told me how much has changed and her perspective as a child. We then picked up Emily at her apartment, and headed to IHOP where the rest of everyone was meeting us. Well we realized that we were running a little late and everyone was already sitting down. I won't lie this was probably the craziest experience I have ever had. Not because the Watson girls are crazy but because how much they remind me of Stephanie!! It was just crazy. When I was just sitting there Dawnelle makes the same facial expressions and is just silly like Stephanie, and Jamie has the same sarcasm as Stephanie. It made me miss her a lot. Anyways we had a great time talking and getting to know each other. Also Mary was there (Deborah's sister). She is pretty funny, and just adds to the group. After IHOP we headed to Aunt Rosemary, which is Deborah's aunt. She is a really nice lady and her daughter Pam is really funny. I enjoyed going over there and meeting them. It was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone and just enjoying our time there. I love the family I have married into, and I see how blessed I am to have such great people in my life. Love Shanel
