Catching Up!!

So Feburary I should say started with a "Freeze" hahah Feb 4th I woke up to a mini winter wonderland! and lots of ice! The whole city shut down bascially, school was cancelled and I got to relax for a few days...It was way to cold though to even want to go out side!!!

Well The Super Bowl was amazing because guess what? Geen Bay was playing!!! That is my dad and I's team, and I even guessed the winning score 31 to 27!! Boom baba We spent FHE at the Geddies that night and we all got to watch the game in the living room, it was pretty funny especially with my dad and I yelling at the team, Daniel and my dad yelling at the tv... I would say it was a great FHE haha








Last night was a blast because I had a girls night with Megan Duiguid and Mari! We had a lot of fun, watch Valentine's Day, and You Again!!! "ooo Kitty likes to scratch" haha best line "Hi" from Charlie and the rehersal dinner haha.. We had chocolate covered Oreo's new favorite dessert!!! m&m's, Sour Gummy Life savers, reeses, dove chocolate and dont for get the bridle magazines haha such great times!!! Well I ended up going home after we were done..




And yeah Life is going great!!!

My little sister Jessica at age 14 got her Young Women's Medallion! I am so proud of her! She worked very hard to finish all the things required for each Value! She is an amazing girl with a huge testimony of the gospel and church!

So as I look back from the past couple weeks to know I can say I know what is feels like to have your prayers answered in such an eye opening way! I put things into my Heavenly Fathers hands and it just seems to work out! I am aiming for this study abroad program this Fall to Turkey and Greece about the apostles Paul and Peter! I thought it wasn't going to work out but to my surprise I get an e-mail from the teachers over the program and they were willing to help me out to be able to go! That was awesome, so when I went to finish the application I noticed that all mu tuition was paid for! So I went to see what happened and I got a scholarship that will pay not only for my study a broad but I will have a little extra to save! Wow how the spirit overwhelmed me! I knew this was a gift from my Heavenly Father and he wants me to be apart of this program! I got a lot of revelation today a lot pertaining to my future, and all I can say is Heavenly Father has a huge job for me to do! =) But I say with Heavenly Father anything is possible! I am so excited and nervous but I have a lot to do from now to then! but I'm excited!

Movie Inspiration...

So sometimes I go to the movies and I actual gain a spiritual aspect out of it.. So my parents and I decided to go see Season of the Witch.. Sounds like a delightful movie right... hmm Well needless to say it wasn't what I expected especially from the trailers and advertisements.. but it reminded me that we are in the last days, and how if we are weak minded and do not have our act together we will FALL into Satan's traps.. But the glorious part of being from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is I have priesthood holds in my life, from my Papa, Daddy, boyfriend, and friends.. And oh how much of difference that makes in my life. Also this movie showed me that I think sometimes we don't realize that our blessing from god is gained through our obedience not only to not give into temptation but to act or do! Our blessings are our weaknesses turned into strengths.. I know I never thought of it that way.. haha but I think that is some of our blessings we get, because the only way we strengthen out weaknesses is through our Heavenly Father! God will always provide a way no matter if it seems like no hope there will always be hope! I think this movie also showed me how we can be deceived by those around us and not be sure of the truth that is what our Heavenly Father is for! We must put our trust in him so that we may do great things in our life for him, and to not let things get in the way of that! Well I hope you enjoyed my little inspiration!

A Beautiful Wedding Reception

So yesterday Kris Ally and Jacob Ward got married for time and all eternity! I was pretty amazing to see how two people could be so happy and excited to start their lives!
I cried a little here and there because I grew up with Kris being the Laural as I was Miamaid, and now that everyone is growing up and getting married its really weird haha, but in a good way. I just still feel like I am 16 sometimes and my age just keep changes. I guess as yo grow up you have this idea that you will feel mature and adultish.. Ah hhaha let me tell you, you matured get better if you are lucky and being and adult just means more responsibility!
Well the night ended and Gary and Laura Geddie drove us back to their house where my mom was, and we all talked about how beautiful the wedding was and so forth... Then of course my mom and Sister Geddie start talking about wedding plans for Geoff and I.. hahah It's pretty funny to see moms get so excited! well I at least have 24 months before my big day.. But even as a little girl you plan your wedding out.. but when it starts to flash before your eyes you kinda freak out hahah .. Well I wish Kris and Jacob the most amazing life together!!

Temple Inspiration

So today has been a great day spent at being at the temple! So my mom and I woke up this morning and got ready to go to the temple. She did a session and I went and did Baptisms.. It was pretty awesome because I got to go in with a group of Hispanic people, the did confirmations in Spanish and the baptisms. I have never done it that way, but the funny thing is I can still feel the spirit and I know pretty much what they are saying.. I had a lot on my mind and I have been praying, pondering, and I fasted today about somethings.. I realized before I went to the temple that I need to make a decision and with that tell the lord this is my plan and is this okay. So that is what I did, and I have never felt the Holy Ghost so strong then when I was talking and praying to my Heavenly Father.. It showed me that my Heavenly Father is proud of me and agrees with me in what my decisions are. I have a lot planned this year. I'm applying to go study abroad in September and October..


Then Hopefully going to China for 6 month to teach English!


Well now I am going to fall asleep to the Houston, Texas rain storms my favorite!

Facing Fears and doing it Flawlessly

So since I have been home I have hung out with family, recerted for my job and hung out with Megan Duiguid! So I have been a life guard for the past 2-3 years and I pretty much know the saves in any situations. Well last week I had to go to in service and my boss did something I have never done before! She usually throws a weight at the bottom of the pool and we dive to get it and then come up on our backs as if it was a victim! Well this time she threw 2 weights that's a total of 18 pounds, sure doesn't sound bad... Yeah Right!! Well it comes to be my turn and so she throws them and I swim out dive down and I notice they are spread a part so I swim back to the top get a breath and then find both of them. I push of the bottom and shoot up, right when I get to the top I am pulled right back down by the weights.. I didn't get a breath so you can imagine what happens.. Yepp I freaked out! For the very first time in my life I have felt what it feels like to drown! So I finally just drop the weights and swim straight to the top!! I am beat red and shaking.. my boss just tells me to get one at a time and so I do and then swim back to the group!! After that I did not want to do it ever again I was about to say I'm done life guarding haha.. But I didn't I prayed about it and I felt everything would be okay.. So this week comes a long and I am dreading the weights.. However one of the girls says hey try it with goggles and so I do and I swim out and I dive straight to the bottom and see both weights I grab them and then shoot to the top and swim towards the side well I find it hard to get a breath of air so I simply drop one of the weights and hand it to my boss then get the second one!! Awesome no fear and no worry! Then after in-service I had to re certify as a life guard that means going through all the saves! Well lets just say I did pretty good! It was awesome! I faced something I became terrified at and then faced it and did better the 2nd time! I think that is all part of our learning process and shows me I still have to work for things!
I am loving being home so far! The weather is amazing and my online class seem to be going pretty well right now! I'm working out and just enjoying Texas its awesome! My mom has seem to become pretty chill with me which is very nice! I think its because I'm in college now haha =)
